Clear terms, fair expectations, and responsible use: protecting every renovation relationship with transparency and accountability.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at https://www.mapleleafqualityrenos.ca, including all pages, subdomains, forms, content, and features (collectively, the "Website"), operated by Maple Leaf Renos Group Inc., operating as Maple Leaf Quality Renos ("Maple Leaf Quality Renos," "we," "us," or "our").By accessing, browsing, or using the Website, submitting a form, or otherwise interacting with us through the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

These Terms apply to all visitors, prospective clients, and clients.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Website's enquiry and estimate features. Our services are offered only for properties located in Ontario, Canada, within the service areas listed on the Website. By submitting a request, you represent that you are the owner of the property, an authorized occupant, or a person duly authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

3. Definitions

  • "Content" means all text, images, photographs, video, graphics, logos, layouts, designs, drawings, FAQs, cost guides, blog articles, and other material published on the Website.
  • "Estimate" means a written, itemized price prepared by us after a consultation and scope review.
  • "Contract" means the signed written renovation agreement between you and Maple Leaf Quality Renos governing a specific project.
  • "Services" means renovation, design, drawing, permit management, and construction services we provide.
  • "Submission" means any information, message, review, testimonial, photograph, drawing, or other material you send to us.

4. The Website Is Informational Only

4.1 Not an Offer or a Contract

Content on the Website, including service descriptions, price ranges, cost guides, project timelines, FAQs, blog articles, gallery images, and promotional messaging, is provided for general information and marketing purposes only. It does not constitute:

  • A binding offer capable of acceptance;
  • A quotation, estimate, or price guarantee;
  • A contract for services;
  • Professional design, engineering, architectural, building code, legal, financial, tax, real estate, or insurance advice.

No contractual relationship is created by using the Website or submitting a form. A binding relationship arises only when both parties sign a written Contract.

4.2 Estimates, Timelines, and Cost Information

Any cost ranges, budget guides, or duration ranges shown on the Website, including the project timeline ranges published in our FAQs, are illustrative general references drawn from typical Greater Toronto Area projects. Actual cost and duration depend on scope, existing conditions, structural findings, material selections, municipal permit processing times, inspection scheduling, product availability, and other factors outside our control.

Only a written Estimate prepared after a consultation and site or virtual assessment reflects pricing for your project, and only the signed Contract is binding.

Estimates are valid for the period stated on the Estimate document, or for 30 days if no period is stated, and are subject to withdrawal or revision before acceptance.

4.3 Building Code and Permit Information

Content describing permit requirements, Ontario Building Code provisions, secondary suite standards, or municipal processes is a general summary that changes over time and varies by municipality. It is not a substitute for a professional assessment of your specific property. Do not rely on the Website in deciding whether your project requires a permit. We assess permit requirements individually during consultation.

5. Consultations, Estimates, and Price Match

5.1 Free Consultation

We offer a free, no obligation consultation, conducted in person or virtually. Booking a consultation does not obligate you to proceed and does not obligate us to accept the project. We may decline any project, including for reasons of scope, scheduling capacity, site conditions, safety, or regulatory feasibility.

5.2 Price Match Commitment

Our published commitment to match or beat an equivalent competitor quote by up to 5% is subject to the following conditions: a) You must supply the competing quote in writing, on the competitor's letterhead or official document, dated within 30 days; b) The competitor must be a legitimate business operating in Ontario, carrying valid liability insurance and WSIB coverage, and using licensed trades for licensed work; c) The quote must cover a materially equivalent scope, including the same work areas, the same or comparable material grades and product lines, the same permit and engineering inclusions, the same mechanical and structural scope, and a comparable schedule; d) Quotes that omit permits, engineering, disposal, structural work, or other required scope items are not equivalent and are not eligible; e) The commitment does not apply to quotes that are unverifiable, expired, withdrawn, verbal, cash based, unpermitted, or from a party operating without required licensing or insurance; f) The commitment cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions unless we agree in writing; g) We determine equivalency acting reasonably and in good faith, and we reserve the right to decline where equivalency cannot be established.

5.3 Promotional Offers

Promotional offers advertised on the Website or in our Google and Meta advertising, including savings of $500 to $5,000 on a project, are subject to these conditions unless the specific offer states otherwise.

How the discount is calculated

  • The discount is 2.5% of the total Contract value, before applicable taxes, subject to a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $5,000;
  • A minimum Contract value of $20,000 is required to qualify. Contracts valued at $200,000 or more receive the maximum discount of $5,000;
  • The discount is calculated on the Contract value at signing. Where scope is subsequently reduced by change order, the discount is recalculated on the revised Contract value, and where the revised value falls below the minimum qualifying threshold the discount no longer applies. Scope increases after signing do not increase the discount;
  • The discount is applied as a reduction to the Contract price and is shown as a separate line item on the Contract.

Eligibility and how to claim

  • The offer applies to new projects only and must be requested at the time of consultation and applied before the Contract is signed. It cannot be applied retroactively;
  • One discount applies per Contract. Where a property owner enters into multiple Contracts, each is assessed separately on its own value and the discounts are not aggregated;
  • The offer is available to the party entering into the Contract, has no cash value, and is not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash or credit.

What the discount does not apply to

  • Offers cannot be combined with other promotions, referral credits, seasonal discounts, or our price match commitment under Section 5.2, unless we agree otherwise in writing;
  • The discount applies to work performed by us and does not apply to municipal permit fees, development charges, utility connection or upgrade fees, condominium corporation fees, third party consultant fees, or other charges payable to third parties;
  • The discount does not reduce the amount financed through Financeit unless the Contract price is reduced before the financing application is submitted.

Changes to offers

  • We may modify, suspend, or withdraw any offer at any time before you sign a Contract, without notice. A discount already applied to a signed Contract is honoured on the terms stated in that Contract;
  • Where an advertised offer states terms that differ from this Section, the terms of that specific offer govern.

Where an offer is advertised on Google, Facebook, or Instagram, the terms of the specific ad and its landing page apply, together with these Terms.

6. Renovation Financing

We are not a lender, credit broker, mortgage broker, or financial adviser, and we do not provide credit. We refer interested clients to Financeit Canada Inc., an independent third party financing provider. All financing is offered, underwritten, approved, and administered by Financeit under Financeit's own agreements, rates, and terms.

  • Financing amounts, terms, promotional rates, deferred payment options, and early repayment provisions are set by Financeit and are subject to change;
  • All applications are subject to credit approval;
  • An initial eligibility check may use a soft credit inquiry that does not affect your credit score. A full application may involve a hard inquiry, as disclosed by Financeit;
  • Approval is not guaranteed, and approved amounts may differ from amounts requested;
  • We receive no information from Financeit beyond what is necessary to schedule and administer your project;
  • Any dispute regarding a financing agreement is between you and Financeit.

References to financing amounts on the Website, including a range of $500 to $100,000, describe the program's outer limits and are not a representation that any particular applicant will qualify for any particular amount.

7. Services, Contract, and Warranty

7.1 The Contract Governs

Where we perform Services for you, the signed written Contract, together with its schedules, drawings, specifications, allowances, and change orders, is the complete agreement between us regarding that project. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Contract, the Contract governs the Services. These Terms continue to govern your use of the Website.

7.2 Payment Schedule

Payment schedules are documented in each Contract before work begins and vary by project size and scope. Any payment structure described on the Website is a general illustration and is not binding until it appears in your signed Contract.

7.3 Workmanship Warranty

Our workmanship warranty covers defects in the quality of our own installation and construction work. The duration of coverage is determined by the value of your Contract, before applicable taxes:

Contract value (before taxes)Workmanship warranty
$100,000 or less1 year
More than $100,0002 years

How the term is determined.

The applicable tier is set by the Contract value at the time of signing. Where the value changes through executed change orders before final completion, the tier is recalculated on the final Contract value, and a project that crosses the $100,000 threshold receives the longer term.

When coverage starts.

The warranty period begins on the date of substantial completion and final walkthrough sign off, or the date of final municipal inspection approval where later, as recorded in your Contract.

Making a claim.

Report any suspected workmanship defect to us in writing at contact@mapleleafqualityrenos.ca or by telephone within the warranty period and within a reasonable time after you become aware of it. We will inspect the reported deficiency and, where it is covered, correct it at no cost to you. Warranty coverage is conditional on your Contract being paid in full in accordance with its terms.

What is not covered.

The workmanship warranty does not extend to normal wear and tear; owner supplied or owner specified materials; work, alterations, or repairs performed by you or by any third party after handover; deferred or omitted maintenance; misuse, neglect, or abuse; damage from water intrusion, flooding, or moisture from a source unrelated to our work; settlement, shrinkage, expansion, and seasonal movement within normal industry tolerances; cosmetic variation in natural materials; damage caused by force majeure events described in Section 19; and defects in manufactured products that are covered by a separate product warranty.

Product and manufacturer warranties.

Manufacturer and product warranties on cabinets, appliances, fixtures, flooring, windows, roofing materials, and similar items are provided by the manufacturer, not by us, and run for the term the manufacturer sets. We assign or pass through those warranties to you where the manufacturer permits.The full terms, coverage, conditions, and exclusions applicable to your project are set out in your written Contract and accompanying warranty document, which govern in the event of any inconsistency with this Section. Nothing on the Website extends, modifies, or creates warranty coverage. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory right or remedy available to you under Section 8.

7.4 Licensing, Insurance, and WSIB

We carry General Commercial Liability insurance and maintain WSIB compliance, and we engage licensed trades for licensed work. Current certificates are available on request. Statements about licensing, insurance, and compliance on the Website are accurate as at the date published and are subject to renewal cycles.

7.5 Permits

We identify and manage required permits as part of our Services where the Contract so provides. Municipal review timelines, inspection scheduling, and approval outcomes are controlled by the authority having jurisdiction and are outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by permit authorities, utility providers, condominium boards, or third party consultants.

7.6 Condominium Projects

For condominium work, you are responsible for obtaining all approvals required by your condominium corporation, including board approval, alteration agreements, insurance certificates, and elevator or service scheduling, unless the Contract expressly assigns that responsibility to us. We cannot commence work that a condominium corporation has not authorized.

8. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits, waives, or excludes any right, remedy, warranty, condition, or guarantee that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) as amended or replaced, the Competition Act (Canada), and the Sale of Goods Act (Ontario).Where a provision of these Terms is inconsistent with a mandatory statutory consumer right, that provision does not apply to the extent of the inconsistency, and the statutory right prevails.

Cancellation rights. Where a renovation agreement is negotiated and signed at your home or at a location other than our place of business, it may be a "direct agreement" under Ontario consumer protection legislation, giving you the right to cancel without reason within 10 days after you receive a written copy of the agreement. Additional statutory cancellation rights may apply where required disclosure is not provided. Your specific cancellation rights, and how to exercise them, are set out in your Contract as required by law.

You agree that information you submit is accurate, current, and complete, and that you are authorized to provide it. Providing false information may result in an inaccurate Estimate, project delays, or termination of the Contract.

10.2 Licence to Us

By sending us a Submission, other than personal information governed by our Privacy Policy, you grant us a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, non exclusive licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display that Submission in connection with our business and marketing. 12. Communications and Consent to Contact

Before commencing a proceeding, we ask that you contact us in writing so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly. Many issues are resolved quickly at this stage.
